I find the number of degrading sexual pictures of women and children that were created by AI in a relatively short time depressing as hell. The fact that people who subscribe to Grok still have the ability to create these images images seems twisted.

Five years ago I can remember texting back and forth with an American friend as we both watched the horrific attack on the Capitol. It still blows my mind that T was able to run for president again after he instigated the attack. It also blows my mind that people elected him.

And then there's this video, of officers talking with each other about what they just witnessed. "We didn't have a chance," one officer said. "[Trump] was still giving his speech, and I just had to leave, because he's basically just telling people to come down here and rip this place down."

I am haunted by the ghosts of Iraq and Afghanistan. Those military operations initially went flawlessly but the problem was in trillions of $ spent, thousands of American lives, decades of lost opportunity. Americans have zero appetite for more nation building, endless quagmires.
