I don't know what got in me but this holiday season I got it in me that I need to make one of a kind drawings and paintings at accessible prices rather than my normal printmaking/digital work. I can only assume it's an underlying response to the environment we are in.

I prepped 100 of these and I now regret putting a texture on all of them because it keeps forcing my pen into weird directions and I’m struggling to not sand the ones I don’t like down to start again

Some news from the yard, I haven’t seen the Stellars’s Jay with the broken beak for a year now, sadly. However some of this year’s squirrel babies from Gloria are grown and have somehow learned to tap on my window. It’s weird to see them so close up, you can tell them apart and get attached.

Going slowly insane but having fun

This year I have been doing a lot more drawing off the dome onto physical objects with paint pens and I think it helped me relearn my line again. I didn't realize how dependent on my digital tools I was, I was totally rusty and it took so long to regain confidence

My assumption is that at least 75% who complains in my local neighborhood groups about the electric scooters drive their car absolutely everywhere. 20% don't leave their house and just don't like seeing them. The last 5 are very legitimate complaints about riding/parking on sidewalks.

It should be illegal for food from other cities I can’t get in my hands within an hour to be on my feed. This is a crime against me.

My book club is getting perfume samples that I associate with them as part of their gift this Christmas. They’re the only ones I do gifts for and I’m gonna think so hard about smells to impress them.
