During the 2021 Euros the flat I was looking after had a gorgeous roof terrace. England v Ukraine quarter-final...England under Southgate was just sublime that day. 4-0. Every time they scored a bunch of us ran on to our roof terraces, celebrating together. It's only football. But it was a bit more.

LUCE: “I would love to think that billion-dollar ballrooms, .. overt patterns of insider trading and $1.8bn slush funds for January 6 thugs is what is driving the US public’s seemingly decisive move against Trump. But I’m pretty sure it is about the state of the economy.”

Dems running for president in 2028 should consider pledging to replace Trump's ballroom with a museum devoted to American democracy and all our struggles over it. For good measure, let's throw in an exhibit about Jan 6. END

If I were doing comms for any of the progressive parties, I'd be plastering these images - & Badenoch's support for the war - everywhere: "Don't let Trump's man run your services"; "Don't let Kemi put America First"... It's a huge weakness for the right, but it needs punching out to the electorate
