Prohibition has never worked. We already know that very high numbers of under 16s in Australia continue to access social media notwithstanding the 'ban'. The same will happen in the UK. All a ban does is given the impression of having 'done something' while ignoring the actual issues.

It’s a smart petition. And this is exactly why we should sign it. Government still point to Section 28 repeal as evidence of their support for LGBTQIA+ communities. The petition aims to create a way for there to be substance behind that persistent rhetoric. And in doing so exposes harm today.
