This week's book, & although no #sundaysentence from it, I got one from Salman Rushdie on the TalkEasy podcast. He said, "When writing, you have to go for the blood," meaning not shy away from your own pain. Didion's notes here feel like her edging up toward the unburdening of YearOfMagicalThinking.

Didn’t find a #sundaysentence this week, but I am enjoying this. The first half, anyway. He took a left turn for Part 2, and it’s just not nearly as compelling. But Part 1 was so good that I’ll forgive him.

On weekends I want to read, walk, listen to music, go to a museum. I don’t want to fight, be attacked, watch abuse, or even see that many people. Same with social media. The limitations of Bluesky are exactly why I choose it, and it alone.
