Open social platforms are touching the interests of big players. These attacks should be a call to action to double down efforts to make them more resilient and reach more people. And to be patient and appreciate the work so many great folks are pouring into recovering our sovereignty on the web.

If the past few months have demonstrated anything, it's our tech infrastructure is vulnerable and essential. Iran may not be able to hit us directly militarily, but our servers are keystrokes away. Cyberattack season is now in session. ALL FOR NOTHING π

I don't know how anyone else feels about this, but to me, sharing a screenshot of chatbot output to make a point of some kind is an excellent way to undermine any credibility that might otherwise be granted to you in the context of whatever you're trying to say.

I think I just cured one iota of brain rot watching 2001: A Space Odyssey. I almost dozed off thrice and I got nothing out of it, but watching a space ship take minutes to dock and then more minutes to ride the dock elevator must have helped reset my brain.

Live action One Piece is some masterclass adaptation, but Sanji's character shift from nosebleed romantic to charismatic suave not only works but makes his character way more fun to watch than the anime. Hope Brooke gets a similar treatment. If they get that far.

Update on this: Car was towed to the dealer. $3K in repairs, more than if I had just let them fix it. Wish there was a lesson to be learned here, but it's baffling that GM thought gluing the PCV valve to the top of the engine block was a good idea. Don't buy GM.

Hegseth needs to stand trial after this as a war criminal. Between this attack and the girls' school, there's no ambiguity. He is responsible for mass murder and must be held accountable.

This weekend I have to replace my car's PCV valve. Usually a 15 minute job turns into an all day affair because the engineers at GM figured they should stick the thing to the back of the engine cover. Thanks guys πͺ But it's a hybrid and these days, that's worth its weight in gold.

The Cyberstan invasion on Helldivers 2 may be peak live service event. Rarely have I experienced such unleashed chaos in a game such as this. But also even rarer have I seen a game's mechanics and systems so expertly implemented to give you the tools to manage that chaos.

Seriously, play Helldivers. Just play Helldivers. You obediently follow orders from command with your squad of brainwashed goons in the righteous path for liberty and democracy. And you get to wear your fun fascist cape. I'm having all this fun and all while not being a garbage human being.
