We drew inspiration (as we thought the family member might have) from the art depicting the Titanic sinking that has been created over the years.

This is a real favourite of my commissions from @steillustrates.bsky.social The concept here was to have a piece of artwork that was created by a family member of the Voyager crew after they had gone missing in the Badlands. With this relative obviously fearing the worst!

I'm of the opinion that, over 80 years of stories, flying about all over this spectrum of realistic/heightened is fine, even welcomed, just to keep things fresh. It's the holding to one particular interpretation as cold hard canon that leads to the death of fun.
