According to my family I was CAPTIVATED by the opening of TNG. I would drop everything I was doing as soon as the opening would start and make my way to the TV. I love TNG, but I have the most fondest memories tied to Enterprise. ENT takes the crown for the series that made me love Trek.

I think watching bits of TNG was my first Trek. I wasn't watching it religiously when it aired, but it had me intrigued. Then, at some point, I checked out all of the original movies. Those really made me love the series. Especially when the TNG movies started coming out.

I missed #startrekday, but I have a new cheesy #Worf oneliner for my TNG Dominion War #fanfic. He fights a Jem'Hadar, throws him into a burst of cryo liquid, and as he looks at the shattered remains, he says "Revenge *is* a dish best served cold."

TOS, and even some TAS, reruns, pre-TNG. The first couple of movies on TV or VHS. I do have a vague memory of riding my bike with my dad and talking about getting home on time for the TNG premiere. Didn't really get into TOS as a kid, but TNG hooked me.

Locally, it aired before the Arsenio Hall show. As a kid I'd always want to watch the Arsenio Hall Show, so I'd watch this before hand. My grandfather also loved TNG, so when the movies came out, we'd go together if I was visiting.

Unsurprising for my age, but it was TNG that made me a lifelong Trekkie. Nothing more than that. I saw it, and fell in love.

As kids growing up in the 70’s, my brother and I saw reruns of TOS first and loved it. TAS came out and we were even more hooked. Often outside having our own missions and landing parties. Those were good times. #LLAP #IDIC #HappeyStarTrekDay

I premiered a couple of weeks before this. I remember growing up watching the reruns with my parents. I’m not a huge Trekkie, but I love the original series and TNG.

My parents were passive fans of TOS in the nineties, and on a whim my mom had VHS-recorded the 25th anniversary special and the “best of” episodes that marathoned just before it. We didn’t have cable; that overworked tape was my childhood. Captain Kirk was my first hero. “Kirk drift” is my enemy.

Sweet Freak is very into Star Trek and has showed me the light and now I am also very into Star Trek It’s very good!! There’s an episode for everyone

Growing up, I'd watch two episodes of Voyager reruns on Spike TV while doing my homework and then switch over to M*A*S*H on Hallmark. This explains a LOT about me and my sense of humor.

Happy Star Trek Day! Here are some of my favourite Lower Decks drawings from the last year or so.

Voyager debuted to some fanfare on SVT (Swedish public television) when I was 11. It still remains my comfort trek, even though it’s not technically my favourite.

The first I remember watching? TOS, "The Corbomite Manoeuvre". First contact on the verge of going horrifically awry, with a happy twist. The first I truly felt "in love" with? DS9.

I started with both TOS and TNG. I used to hurry home after school to watch both shows at 4 PM. Being raised by a dad and uncle who were Trekkies in the TOS era certainly helped, too! Star Trek is tied with Wing Commander as my favourite franchise, and life is so much better with those franchises.

I was 11 when TNG launched. Had barely any idea what Star Trek was, but I knew my dad was excited for it. Been a fan ever since.

TNG whenever it was on bbc us TV. And Lower Decks is when I fell in love. Don't even get half the references. Moopsy.

TNG was the first show I watched but I truly fell in love with the show watching Deep Space Nine

Voyager, Voyager

I grew up watching TOS reruns but it wasn't until TNG came out that I truly fell in love.

I seen bits before, but mostly I think a rerun of The Man Trap for TOS, a rerun of Time's Arrow for TNG, and a rerun of the VOY episode where Chakotay got brainwashed by a local militia.

I started watching TNG a few years before the pandemic because a friend was very into it, so my first episode was Encounter At Farpoint. I wasn't very convinced at first cause S1 and S2 of TNG are pretty bad but I kept going and the first episode I really liked was probably Yesterday's Enterprise.

First trek: Star Trek VI Fall?: Voyager

TOS (back then we just called it Star Trek) reruns every day after school (4pm, channel 6). I recorded all of them on old Betamax tapes. I got very good at pausing the recording to edit out commercials. The last episode to complete my collection was The Savage Curtain.

I grew up watching TOS with my family so I'm not certain which episode was my first. 'The Naked Time' certainly made an impression with Sulu running around with a sword. There are too many amazing episodes! I love them all! Star Trek IV made me a Trekkie for life. "Admiral, there be whales here!"

The pilot episode of Voyager was actually what got me into Trek. I remember watching it every Monday thereafter at 8 before bed. I got in an argument with my dad once because there happened to be an important soccer match on at that time, and we only had one TV!

aside from very early memories of the animated series on Nickelodeon, I would watch the start of every Reading Rainbow episode just in case it was the Star Trek episode

First Trek: The Original Series, nightly reruns on channel 11 in NY. I think it was “The Lights of Zetar” The woman pictured below scared the bejesus out of me. I was hooked.

First "new" Trek I remember seeing was the animated series (which premiered on this day in 1973, when I was very small.) TOS reruns soon after & never looked back. It's been a fantastic voyage & I hope it goes on forever (hopefully unimpeded by the dread Skydance). Happy Star Trek Day, friends!
