Shoutout to to Aquamentus, the very first boss of a Zelda game, 40 years ago. I didn't think it was a very impressive dragon design when I was little, but I really like the 1989 cartoon version where they reinterpreted it as a sort of Pegasus dragon. It very seldom returns to the franchise.

When I was working on South of the Circle I made a volcano range with 7 or so rock meshes I made just scaling rotating and placing them by hand. The art style helped dramatically to pull it off. #gamedev

Some scifi fanart WIP things from the past couple years that I also definitely will finish, these examples are all Star Wars and StarCraft.

No one told me that in Sonic 3 (the movie) there's a shot with some amazingly rendered Looney Tunes physics where Super Sonic pushes off a mountain and opens up an entire fault line connected to it, instead of the mountaintop just crumbling. This is probably my favorite vfx shot in years. :D

I don't know if it counts as subtext or just text but I like the bit in Ghost in the Shell (1995) where in the midst of a shootout the robot shoots up the tree of life in a natural history museum, (as seen in the bottom right image), but the bullet holes stop just short of obliterating humanity.

Randomly thinking about this nice car they designed for young Lin Beifong to drive in Legend of Korra flashbacks that is like 98% a plausible 1890s design, but with an anachronistic shoulder seat belt. I wonder if that was some network-mandated rule, to show characters in cars using seat belts.
