There would be so many more great original game ideas available if this wasn’t a thing. I stopped sharing pitches with employers long time ago because of this. Same with patents.

The animation chat has me thinking one telling thing - in the years since AI arrived, there's not been a ground-up indie phenomenon, like we saw with earlier tech (Flash, etc). It hasn't unlocked anyone's creativity. For all the anti-gatekeeping rhetroic, nothing anyone cares about has been born.

At yesterday's Canada v USA hockey exhibition match was a poor lad trying to hand out free US flags but nobody wanted one. Even saw one in the urinal afterwards. US reputation is literally in the toilet.

Thought I was being a clever procedural animator by telling the hand to "hold the book in front of face", but then also telling the face to "look at the book", creating an infinite feedback loop that raises the book higher and higher. #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev
