but this country? the promise of this country? the promise of this country is that it doesn't matter where you're from. it doesn't matter what your blood is. it doesn't matter your race or color or creed or gender or sex. there is a life for you here.

After all, these are the same companies that brought us laptops for 5th graders and therefore an end to reading whole books on paper. How has that served us 15 years on? Not even mentioning social media and phones. But at least there, the lawsuits are coming.

At least it is interesting to watch in real time the transition between VBNMW being an overture to the pro-Platner left, to just becoming more evidence of the liberal moral rot as the leftists pretend they never supported him in the first place.

What happened on the National Mall — a day-long prayer rally billed as a “rededication of our country as One Nation under God” — was a constitutional abomination in layers of blasphemy and demagoguery. It was grotesque. It was appalling and profoundly un-American.

Perhaps the reason things have "vaguely felt bad" for the last 5 years is because you are literally holding a bad vibes generator in your hand all day, and it contains a million people all telling you that if you don't admit things are bad, you're a bad person who will be perceived as out-of-touch
