Silly, crafty, mathsy, dice goblin, plant nerd; she/her
Not quite creative feedback, but my mathematics PhD advisor told me I'd do better pursuing a career as an artist rather than going into teaching like I'd wanted to (ngl it kinda broke me, haven't taught since I graduated)

in the yard just now: a white-tailed horntail, which looks like a huge-ass wasp but is actually not dangerous unless you’re a dead or dying conifer tree. This little lady (and I used the term “little” loosely) was well over an inch long

2 of my DnD group are getting married this weekend - the bride plays an ocean-themed dwarf Druid with a familiar named Rawn the Prawn, who has a tiny prawn-sized grappling hook; the groom plays a fairy Warlock with a corgi named Comet as a mount. Painted this as a card for them

When I speak, toads fall from my mouth. There was a fairy dressed as some kind of fucking royalty. I got cursed for insufficient deference. As far as I can tell, my toads are not any of the 500-ish known species. If you have a degree in biology and want to cowrite a paper on new toads, hit me up.

Has anyone else noticed that there's like no pride merch out in regular stores this year? I was out running errands yesterday and went to 3 places (BiMart, Dollar Tree, and Safeway) and didn't see a single bit of rainbow in any of them, just tons and tons of patriotic crap for the 250 thing in July

Then I guess it's not a financially sustainable organization. They'll have to close some locations or shorten their hours. Alternatively, we could end the public navy and let private navies provide this service.

'AM I BAD?' is a grand and cosmic question that is well beyond our scope. fine. here on the ground, the DAY TO DAY effects are that your actions contribute to hurt and suffering in small or large ways, and those who hurt and suffer because of you are allowed to not like you because of it. SORRY BUD.

IT IS TIME The man looked up from his beach chair. "Really?" He said. "I've only just retired." Death held up a timer. A single grain was about to fall. And then... It didn't. CURIOUS Vetinari shrugged. "I've only just discovered drinks with little umbrellas. I'll let it fall in a bit" 1/17

there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for

These pretty, day-flying moths (Heliolonche pictipennis), only about 1 cm. long, are one of my favorite desert spring insects. The only flowers they visit (desert dandelion, desert chicory, or scale bud) close up at night; the moths sleep inside them, which is scientifically adorable.
