Since I last stayed at this hotel in London six months ago, they have started offering complimentary earplugs. I assumed this was related the lack of aircon so the earplugs were for if you kept the window open. But crikes the noise coming from outside right now even with the window closed...

Looking at the seat reservations, half this carriage on this train is going to Nuneaton, not London. Which means half the carriage likely has a split ticket like I do. Maybe one day the powers that be will realise no through single should be cheaper thanna split ticket but I'm not holding my breath

Two buses leave Marple for Stockport around 6:50. Almost identical route but one is timetabled to take ten minutes longer. Normally I get the first, faster one but today I am finding out why the second bus is slower. Oh so much padding in the timetable. We keep having to stop because we're early.

Truthfully this isn't quite the achievement it may look as I am on a price for life membership package after donating membership fees early in COVID times, to try and help keep Stockport Sports Trust going (they didn't survive). So break even point gets earlier every year.

On DigitalSpy they appear to currently doing an indepth discussion into what the BBC would call a combined 5 Live/BBC Local radio station, and what/how it would broadcast. Not that it's happening. But it keeps them busy I guess.
