This was my thought too and my ongoing worry - pre-emptive compliance by employers in spite of what the law actually says will be a legally tricky position and a true nightmare for trans+ people in the meantime.

Every person I meet who hasn't seen me since before I transitioned says the same thing - how I look so much happier. Transition is magic. It's not too late. If it's what you want, do it. This too shall pass.
