I hate to say it but I want to point out that fem identifying and non-binary staff/TOs have been the ONLY people I've seen willing to attempt discussion about general behavior improvements in both online and in-person scenes and more often those conversations have been shut down by strange excuses.

As someone amab, amidst the topic of sexism in the scene today I figured it best to focus on boosting the voices of those with the experience to speak on it, but Dio's post encourages me to share one bit of personal experience I do have around this from the other side. A pretty long one, apologies

idk how much of the discussion on twitter about how comp players treat women and the misogyny in this community has spread here, but a lot of the people i see in replies offering their "support" have also been perpetuating or allowing their friend's misogyny behind closed doors.

One thing I learned when streaming/running community servers (and from old TOs, thanks Bleck) is that no one is owed your time/space. Someone in your stream making you uncomfy? Block them. Someone in your server being an ass? Kick them. No one has the unalienable right to use sendou dot Com

Its sad this topic keeps getting brought up, but as I said on Twitter. I started playing this game competitively since I was 16. I'll admit I was groomed. Hit on due to my voice. I was put into situations I wish I wasn't.
