I made a spreadsheet to keep track of my Buffy graphic novel collection, what I have and what I need, and it gives me the same feeling as someone else brushing my hair.

So publishers have been doing deluxe special editions of a bunch of romantasy slop, with variant covers/different spray edges, to get people to buy 5-10 different very expensive copies of the same book out of FOMO. Incredibly, it works.
