The economics of this are highly suspect. If you sell your home you keep at least 80% of the sale price, likely much more given the 500k capital gains exemption for married couples. And then you can invest the proceeds to spin off income - plus no upkeep expenses.

On my bike, went to the gym, stopped by a local stationary shop on the way home to buy a thank you card, and then almost had my life taken from me by a person in a midsized SUV, blindly turning into my bike lane while distracted with their phone. Gave me the sorry đź‘‹. Motorist "oopsies" kill people.
