Seeing a mom with two kids in a cargo bike cruising up a hill in San Francisco was my ah-ha moment with e-bikes when I shifted from “those things are cheating” to wait, “those things are awesome!”

I'm a cyclist and former racer. The elitism by some is problematic. If we want cities to roll out better infrastructure it will take widening the coalition and include scooters, one-wheels, e-bikes, old people on 3-wheels, etc. When I want to ride hard for miles unmolested I go out to the country.

I love these guys! The infrastructure, apparently, is only for coordinated, fit bike bros getting exercise on road bikes, not for uncoordinated dunces like me to get from Point A to Point B
