At another task force meeting, the U.S. Department of Interior raised concerns with bike riders in D.C. not wearing helmets and riding the wrong way on one-way streets.

Interesting: During a White House task force meeting on making D.C. safe and beautiful, federal and local officials discussed how to make bigger roads in the city safer for pedestrians. A senior federal official, though, "raised concerns" with D.C.'s no-turn-on-red laws.
