It seems even in the Queer community people have an issue with what I consider my identity. That I have to identify based on the way they interpret the words and identities. I'm not allowed to be what I consider myself.

This is the first year I'm actually planning to celebrate Pride. I plan on going to a Pride block party and potentially a bar crawl with fellow Queers in the area, and I've never met any of them. It's scary because often times I worry that I'm not Queer enough.

Every Pride, I try to find the words I want to say and always fall short. The road to me getting to where I am has been nothing short of rocky, and often, I don't feel I have a right to claim my identity. When your queerness is fluid, it often doesn't feel like enough.

Happy Pride Month!!! Some people don’t come from homes or countries where they can come out and be safe, the world has grown more hostile; the real enemies make themselves known.
