How I'm walking out of 2025.

Depressing yet utterly unsurprising that it's taken two weeks for any media to report that the editor of The Times has been arrested and charged. Any newsroom trying to claim they had to wait for indictment doesn't seem to apply that logic to literally any other arrest/initial court appearance.

It is absolutely stunning that, even after the ludicrously disproportionate journalistic capacity that has gone into reporting the Peggie case in the last several months, way too many media outlets still have absolutely no idea quite what they are reporting.

That MSPs are now openly saying stuff like this is chilling. "Controversial groups like LGBT Youth Scotland"? LGBTYS didn't need to be in my schools for me to be gay, but they sure as hell would have helped me avoid 9 years of fear and self-loathing if they had been. Despicable stuff.

Whatever you think of the SNP in Glasgow, some remarks from Scottish Labour MPs who should know better, have been embarrassing. This today, incorrectly claiming SNP housing policies have any impact on asylum cases which is reserved to Westminster and dealt with by Home Office contractors, is mince.

It doesn't matter if a government consultation has been open for weeks. If the deadline is 11.55pm, you better believe I'm filing that thing at 11.54pm.

A GP has been charged over the social media harassment of a woman who was raped by his son. He is also accused of behaving inappropriately by a former patient and former colleague, which resulted in a complaint to NHS Highland. He is still able to practice as a GP. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
