The govt. needs to AT LEAST delay the settlement changes. Not just from moral pov but from a strategic one. They know Starmer isn't going to last. Implementing before the locals means there can be no row back or change in direction for the next leader. It's unbelievably stupid to let this happen.

We've had questions from three broadcasters so far, and they have all been about the practicalities and costs. None has asked about the legal/moral issue of retrospectively changing laws so huge numbers of people who have made their lives in the UK will be expelled.

I am so ANGRY watching this Reform press conference. How can we just let them get away with saying they will deport "hundreds of thousands" of people here "illegally" and in the same breath say that they will make it illegal to simply be here. These policies are horrifically racist and DANGEROUS.
