This research project has been a massive inspiration for us on the BIRES project as we've worked in Latin America. Brilliant results, especially on internalisation here.

Now starting our session on eating disorders @ #PiBI2025 Verity Pratt shows meta-analytic evidence that perfectionism explains c. 11% of variance in orthorexia in sport samples. Tugba Turkan shows that greater frequency of past dieting attempts predicted higher ED symptom scores.

I first saw Cabaret as a student production at St Andrews c. 2003 and this is EXACTLY how I interpreted it too. The MC was v queer and v sympathetic and you could see him realising what was being lost as the production went on. Girl playing Sally was luminous. It was remarkable and heatbreaking.
