I want to 100% agree with this reply. If your goal is to make something just because you want to make it, make whatever - take as long as you need, work 20 minutes a day if that's what you have, it doesn't matter. Please don't let commercialization get in the way of making art.

Update on this. This was actually one of THREE books titled New Mutants Vol. 1 from the same run. The actual story title was 'Welcome to the Wild Hunt' and by Vic Ayala and Rod Reis. I don't know why the story title wasn't part of book title, or why the collected books were ALL Vol. 1 🤷‍♂️
