I don’t want to pay these and other costs for AI slop. I don’t want the power cost increases. I don’t want the hit on water systems. I don’t want the global warming hit. I don’t want AI added to every product making unhelpful suggestions. I don’t want students using it rather than learning.

This is not a drill: How would you persuade people in the education space to maximally resist the urge to throw "AI" at children in order to help with their learning? I'm looking for numbers, papers, frameworks that can help evaluate whether a specific technology is safe to use, etc.
