nice! worth noting, though, that it's not the first Irish-language sci-fi novel (though it may be the first to involve space travel) â that, to my knowledge, would be Eoghan Paor, by ConĂĄn Maol (PĂĄdraig Ă SĂ©aghdha), from the 1910s:

if i was going to give a college commencement speech i would make sure to start with something the students could rally behind. something like "we will mechanically suck the youth from your bones to feed a mechanical eschaton, which my generation will use to climb heaven and become new gods"

Ever wondered whether there are more historical weather observations still sitting on paper for <insert country>? The answer is certainly yes. And, for observations taken by the British, many logbooks are now openly available thanks to UK Met Office:

The oldest known Irish joke. John Scotus Eriugena (c. 815 â c. 877) The French king sat opposite him and asked. 'Quid distat inter sottum et Scottum?' (What separates a drunkard (sot) from an Irishman (and Scotchman)), Eriugena replied, 'Tabula tantum' (Only a Table).

Do you think that our legacy mainstream media is giving this story as much attention as it deserves? The energy shock in terms of reduction in avail. crude oil has fallen faster than at beginning of covid, much faster than after Kremlin's invasion of Ukraine and refineries will soon have to close.
