The National Science Foundation sign on our Eisenhower Av building is now gone. The NSF mural in the foyer is removed and torn off in sheets. We were supposed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the agency in May 2025. That never happened.

Missing my grandma who used to stop everything she was doing if she heard someone criticize vaccines because so many of her childhood friends slowly disappeared after they got polio, and ask people if “surviving” polio was really a positive outcome or if they had no idea what they were talking about
