Had the loveliest card and flowers today from my pet sitter who used to come and inject Quinn with insulin if I wasn’t able to be here at the exact time.

Missing my boy so much this morning 💔💔🌈

Just said farewell to our gorgeous Quinn who has gone over the rainbow bridge aged 13 after a year long battle with diabetes and pancreatitis. He was the goodest of boys and the most knowing and supportive pet to the girls and me. He saved us on many tough occasions. Our hearts are broken 💔 🌈

The lad is feeling particularly smug this #caturday as he has slipped his harness and pulled out his diabetic monitor. He’s been strutting around all chuffed ever since. Me, not so chuffed!

Apparently it’s international tea day or some such, so pop in for a cuppa and a browse. - Michael

Day 8 of our second 14 day diabetic monitoring disc and insulin adjustments. The boy is so brave about his injections, not so much about wearing the harness to keep it on!

Quinn is back on a 2 wk diabetic disc monitor and very unhappy that means wearing a harness to stop him scratching it out. We’ve had 2 insulin increases again and stats are super high still. Vet concerned he may be insulin resistant 😢 because of his severe pancreatitis. And I’m so broke with bills

The lad is feeling very smug as he’s managed to pull out his diabetic monitoring disc despite the bodysuit covering it. He is now very pleased to be “naked” again and I’m back to worrying about his blood sugar levels.

I am now a pro at 12 hourly insulin injections for the lad and he’s being very brave. Wearing the bodysuit to stop him scratching the diabetic monitoring disc is making him rather cross though.

#caturday today brings a very fed up Quinn who was fitted with a diabetic monitoring disc on his neck at vets yesterday for two weeks to get his insulin levels right. He immediately tried to scratch it off so now in a bodysuit which is making him very cross!

Sorry for lack of posting. Still struggling loads with depression. In other news Quinn has just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I’ll need to inject him twice a day so got a lesson on Thursday at vets. Over £100 a month for insulin and needles so that will be biggest challenge

So grateful that my beautiful Quinny is still with us despite his terminal pancreatic cancer diagnosis 4 months ago. He’s got thinner but is still enjoying life and lots of cuddles so we are taking a day at a time with him #blessed
