Happening now: at the Broadview ICE facility outside Chicago, Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino and other CBP/ICE agents emerge to patrol Beach Street and escort a vehicle out. They ordered people out of the street, walked to the end of it and then back to the fence.

We focused on the rapid proliferation of license plate readers and adoption of real-time crime center systems, but police spent loads on other tech. For instance, police in Oak Brook, Countryside, North Riverside, and Willowbrook bought handheld & vehicle-mounted StarChase GPS launchers.

Assisted by ATF agents here, CBP just rushed out of the gate and immediately into the crowd to seize safety gear (umbrellas, shields) from protesters. Loaded them into this truck. Saw feds tackle and arrest one person between parked cars.

I urge members of the public to remain calm, stay safe, and document what you see with your phones and cameras. My senior team has also asked legal organizations to support monitoring on the ground.
