Rant: When I started covering wrestling 17 years ago, it was basically just Dave's newsletter and a bunch of small outlets and writers fighting over scraps, but it was fun. being a woman in wrestling spaces is truly exhausting and demoralizing sometimes. seeing people just actively not giving one ounce of a fuck. like yeah go on and pop for the guy in the sex trafficking lawsuit like he’s a guy in a boyband on TRL, how fantastic.

Women have been trying to explain this phenomenon for years. Saying something about sexual harassment or abuse will break your heart when all the closeted misogynists in your life come out in support of a man, any man, and well… I guess that includes Donald Trump now.

I could never explain the moment the entrants were announced and my exact emotions at the time. There was a bunch of crying - I was covering women’s wrestling heavy for many years and I watched these women, chronicled their journeys from the beginning - it was something of a dream.
