You probably can’t personally stop the war in Iran today. Is there something you can do for your neighbors hiding from ice? For a trans person in Kansas? Any local aid orgs or rapid response networks? Phone banks? Anyone already doing good shit that just needs a hand?

sadly yes in our fascist state you can be given legal consequences for protesting (I have had a family member arrested for ‘trespassing’ as a direct example), it’s still really important to do it but it’s also important to know what can happen to better protect yourself and the cause

those thinking of protesting a big reminder of the #1 rule: do not post you are at the protest when at the protest unless you are press, or ready for potential consequences. for those in those two categories who can report on it and bring it to the public: thank you for your services
