An absurd argument, along the classic lines of 'but your honor I'm an orphan.' He's arguing against rule of law on the grounds that he's a felon. Hence an actor with an interest in destabilising rule of law. Hence we shouldn't try to have rule of law lest we face a critical mass of guys like him.

I'm not sure this is the only way to read what happened. But say so. It's hard to reason coherently about jury nullification and the rule of law. Obviously BAD jury nullification is bad. But is it plausibly part of the 'proper' legal function of a jury to check rogue prosecutors, in effect?

This is the opening of the Grokipedia entry on George Floyd. I think we can all agree that Floyd did not become well known around the world because of his "lengthy criminal record." Opening the entry this way is seemingly an attempt to manufacture consent for his killing.
