What worth is a video discussing content it can’t… discuss? When you can’t show it, you can’t describe it, you can only talk *around* it? I keep saying it, but YouTube is fucking robbing its users of language and context, and it is destructive.

We’ve already seen channels censor in-game gore, even when gore is the subject of discussion. We’ve seen channels try to review shooting games without using the word gun. Hell, I’ve seen channels take no chances by blurring out PSX games! Game videos are becoming functionally useless.

Aaaaaand there it is. Exactly like I expected. It’s only going to get less and less possible to discuss vast numbers of games on YouTube. Can’t wait for the GTA6 reviews full of law-abiding footage. I wonder if this will extend to official trailers or if publishers will get special treatment.
