The reason generative AI is so popular with wannabe creatives is best illustrated by something every pro writer has encountered: getting pitched an idea by someone saying "You write it and we'll split the profits!" because they think the idea is what has value, not the writing. The opposite is true.

I definitely used to do this to offset new console costs, but as someone who's spent years recollecting my old consoles and games, I kinda wish I'd hung onto more of my stuff instead of trading it in/selling it.

While I do wish the new Thief game wasn't a PSVR exclusive, I am absolutely over the moon that Stephen Russell is back as Garrett and it seems to be continuing the story that was implied at the end of Thief: Deadly Shadows. I may even get a PSVR for it--who knows!

Had to say goodbye to Kenzie yesterday. Hardest decision I've ever had to make. After 18 years of cross-country adventure, he's finally gone somewhere I couldn't follow. He was my best little bud and I'm going to miss him so, so much.

No fewer than five separate times, I thought I'd reached the end of Kingdom Come II's main story. Heck, I thought the Trosky Castle bit might be the finale and lead into the expansions, but NOPE my first 30 hours was just spent in Act I... and only 1/3 of the total game world. It's BIG.

Lots of folks saying consoles are becoming irrelevant and tech leaps are going to be smaller. Here’s my take: consoles don’t need to be cutting edge. If anything, consoles should REGRESS. I want a whole new platform that has the horsepower of a PS1 and is just about VIBES.
