Honestly like I think the ongoing rant/argument all my fellow creative workers are engaging in about generative AI is very worth having, and then I look at the math and I’m like that’s almost beside the point because this is completely insane

just read a story about a little boy in SC who just learned to ride a bike but he was unvaxxed and got measles and got really sick and got a spinal tap and then pumped with medicines and then his brain swelled anyway and now he won't ever walk or eat on his own and he definitely won't ride a bike

I have recently discovered I have a new pet peeve. I do not like people subtly pivoting an issue to my feelings. Me: [Describes a problem] Other Person: "Oh, I'm sorry you feel that way." Me: Excuse you, we aren't discussing my feelings about this matter, but rather the facts.

The horror stories rolling in from Minnesota are just the tip of the iceberg. This 20-year-old, who's lawfully present in the country, was arrested for being Latino, then jailed in a filthy cell where he couldn't even sit down. 18 days of illegal detention.

Obviously lawyers should not wear a civil rights t-shirt to court. Lawyers should observe decorum by only wearing an American flag pin or a crucifix, which are neutral messages without any potentially prejudicial meaning.

One reason Republicans are so laser targeted on trans kids existing, is that trans kids existing requires accepting the bodily autonomy and consent of children. Which is something republicans absolutely can't do, since they are pedophiles. Their transphobia and pedophilia is them being consistent

I literally saw a post two weeks back in which a guy with two jobs was flagellating himself because he was short on rent, lamenting that had he donated plasma more, maybe his rent would be on time. This system is deeply fucked. Earth is a pleasure cruise for 1000 people and we're all just the staff.
