Every time I see how few drawings I did in 2025 I'm a little surprised but then I remember this big stupid thing exists (no regrets).

18th century "cat contract" (納貓兒契式; based on a Yuan-dynasty original), laying out the cat's duties and responsibilities: tirelessly guarding the grain, repelling the "mousey bandits" (鼠賊), not messing with the livestock, not stealing numnums "of any kind whatsoever" (不得偷盜食諸般).

Cover art for the adventure "Mire of the Fluorite Will-O'-Wisp", written by Arthur Marques. Layout is still WIP.

Looking at my old art often makes me feel like I'm past my artistic prime, which is factually untrue. The brain is a dumbass: I easily forget the good/fun drawings I'd made and all the baggage attached to working on them, so when I rediscover them it's easier to enjoy what is here on it's own.

At least someone's having a good time. Someone is also taking his meds (with a lot of convincing), the two things might be connected.

Reread Fahrenheit 451 in February probably for the first time since being a teenager, and really disliked it. See: abstract art is not real art, oh no abortions, they took our porches etc. A nicely written story that mostly delivers a persecution fantasy with nebulous politics.
