If we’re going to talk about media ecosystems, I do think there’s something to learn from accounts like this. They aren’t reacting to change, they’re building a specific reality and insisting on that reality regardless of what the actual facts are, and people’s worldview changes around that.

We cannot take democracy for granted. The turn towards more democracy is a huge human achievement. It is more recent than we often realize. Only 9 countries have had an electoral democracy for over 91 years - and even fewer for liberal democracy. Let's take care of these important institutions.
