I think I'd like to build the next eurorack box with a back that has a hinge on it or something so you can easily open it up and plug in modules to the power strip and monkey with internals.

I think my next eurorack is going to be one for analog mastering effects. There are so many nice stereo compressors, saturators and even mid-side processors in eurorack format now! At least it's cheaper than a whole 500 series setup.

Finally splurged on some nice old all metal mic clips for close mic'ing the drum set. I get so frustrated with the shitty plastic stuff that you end up duct taping together. Got some classic Latin Percussion brand CLAWS.

Conspiracy theory I'm starting to believe: 'Mashup culture', 'curated content' and 'steal like an artist' were just creating the language, the permission structure for AI to steal our souls and churn them up into machine-slop. Creativity is not just permutations of previous cultural works!

My ethos is that the corporate capitalist world wants to make us all into infantilized babies, where shopping replaces every possible way of being and doing in the world. You have to fight it. Creativity is about making things not buying things, not curating things. DIY or DIE.

So I think I'm just going to go back and spend some actual time making some of these bits look GOOD, even if that wasn't the final thing I delivered. I'm going to take back my time and art and make things the way they should've been if I had 3 more days!

Working on my reel and realizing that there really is no way to convey extremely short deadlines and extreme revisions on late rounds of feedback. All it does it diminish the final work and you just can't show that value.

One thing I struggle with client motion design work: communicating how short timelines and granular feedback structures inhibit the work from being GOOD. Like if I have to build it so I can pivot on round 3 feedback, and I only have days between rounds it's not gonna be great!

Feeling like I've come back to life and it doesn't matter how shitty everything is I've got to just see how far I can get before something stops me.
