FF7 Part 3 looks great. Excited. By release, its gonna be a while since folks played Part 1 and even Part 2. I would really love to see a 'continuous play' mode that let you play from Part 1 to Part 2 NG+ and then Part 3 NG++, carrying all your gear, materia, and equipment from game to game.

I think it's great to have a wide array of accessibility features in a videogame. I also love achievement hunting. But I feel disabling achievements as soon as the player enables any accessibility options sends the message that if you're disabled, your successes are lesser than someone who is not.

independence should make solidarity easier. you're supposedly free to take risks. yet time and again, the limits of what can be said seem to be determined by the possibility that someone, somewhere, might cancel a pledge. kindness without sacrifice is just branding.

increasingly clear to me that many independent games outlets were founded to preserve an existing audience and revenue stream after a corporation stopped footing the bill. far less energy has gone into asking what genuine independence might enable that corporate media couldn't. Business as usual.

Hats off to @ioi.dk, I'm absolutely floored by 007 Last Light! I was expecting string of stealth sandboxes with some light narrative to stitch it all together. Two hours later, and I'm already feeling like this is a strong contender for GOTY, and I don't see the game slowing down any time soon.
