These people want us to feel isolated and alienated. They want us to feel like we have to hide ourselves and our values. Protesting is saying FUCK NO to all of that. Protesting is rejecting shame. Protesting is saying WE matter. We are worthy of more than this.

So if someone tells you that protesting doesn’t do anything, ask them what they mean by “anything”. Will it change a fascist’s mind? Unlikely. But will it make other people feel empowered? Will it let them know they matter? Will it give you strength? Yes! Isn’t that something worth doing?
