This Digital ID thing is getting very messy. You have a Government minister saying 1 thing, a Government department saying something else. Different descriptions of who and what it will be required for. Feels like a rushed announcement to try and "keep up" with Reform, if you ask me.

For clarity: The idea of a digital ID card managed by a company like Palantir is a bad idea. But the idea of an easy to access and verify ID that collates all the information held by the Government already isn't necessarily a bad one. It's how that ID is curated, managed, & used that is crucial.
