I don't think anyone expected him to say anything better. But he'd probably have been better maintaining his usual silence. Iran were negotiating - when Israel launched a war on them. The US joined in - and now our Prime Minister basically says "well they were asking for it.'

I have voted to decriminalise abortion. The 1967 Act really only set out grounds for exceptions from what stayed a criminal offence. Today we start to treat abortion rightly as a regulated healthcare choice. It should be a clear human right to access abortion when you need it.

Here in Withington Mcr we recently managed to get half a street pedestrianised, after years of lobbying. People shop. Brews are drunk. Kids play. The same people. The same shops. But without the near death experiences. I defy anyone to say that pedestrianising a high street is a bad thing.

Evaluation of the DfT's inclusive transport strategy released yesterday. The strategy's goal is "that disabled people should be able to travel confidently, easily and without extra cost." Despite some good initiatives, key outcomes didn't improve over this period (although this is complicated)
