Chucked off the train at Newcastle because a tree blocks the line North to Berwick where I was supposed to be picked up. Don’t suppose anyone happens to be driving from Newcastle to Melrose and can give me a lift?

The best thing that happened today was walking past a hedge, and accidentally disturbing a family of freshly fledged blue tits. They all fluttered around and chirped in alarm and then vanished again.

Every year on Memorial Day, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring. They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died. France also gave us this land as American soil.

Just lifted the toilet lid and discovered a fly in there. Obviously going to have to put a spider in the toilet to deal with the fly situation but I'm a bit worried about the escalation. Where would I even purchase a horse in this economy?
