Yesterday was the last of Center City District's Open Street days on Walnut St. I love how wholesome the energy has been every Sunday. Even on a chilly 40 degree day kids were playing in the streets and people were happily strolling.

Here's some math on how cars don't work in cities- neighbors in Philly want to use the 2 crosstown bike lanes on Spruce & Pine for ad-hoc parking. You can fit 22 cars per block on those lanes. The streets go 25 blocks There are 41k people who live along that corridor alone.
