The way this industry treats their QA testers is absolutely shameful. QA are always the first to get cut, paid the worst, and socially treated the worst. Generative AI is such a brain dead choice to replace QA with.

Because SE's QA people are probably not in a position to defend themselves and their jobs in public, I want to spell out some of what it is they specifically do for us localizers, because nothing I've written here is rhetorical. SE QA acts as a final check on our work after translation and editing.
