They have a very particular world outlet, and when it's challenged by the lived experiences of Black people they default back to being white and needing to be right. For many of them, liberty looks like Portland.

My simplified take is that white leftists are bad at making and sustaining relationships, especially with black people. This results in narrow views, incomplete analysis, and distrust, and defection. It’s a people & culture problem, which is a killer of longterm organizing.

And to be clear, I meant white leftists and white liberals. I’m exasperated by so much of what I have been hearing and seeing lately. I think I’m going to shut up more especially at work & on here about politics… because where I come from, you got to fight back. I don’t understand anything else.
