Finished Football by Chuck Klosterman. CK thoroughly explores every aspect of the game in the thoughtful and funny way only he can. I didn’t give a shit about football and, after reading this book, I still don’t. Regardless, I love Klosterman, and his writing here, as always, is top notch. Liked it.

My first ever job was at a tire shop the year that The Division Bell came out. The manager of the shop bought a brand new, bright purple truck that summer and had the statues from the album cover of the back window.

As a little boy, whenever I’d be riding my bike on a sunny day or playing with friends, and I’d hear Pink Floyd being blasted out of a Camaro passing by or from the radio of a neighbor fixing his lawnmower, it would always imbue my world with a sense of darkness and foreboding. Music is powerful.🌈 🌚

Finished What Art Does by Brian Eno & Bette A. Eno’s words with Bette’s illustrations. An art theory book small enough to fit into your back pocket. The concepts are universal & easily relatable. Made me think about the importance of art & how we are unconsciously being artistic every day. Loved it.

During a summer in the city, Wyeth navigates friendships, roommates, race, a budding romance with a former seminarian, & the NY art world & its characters. It was good.

Just listened to the Chuck Klosterman episode of the Adam Friedland Show. They discuss why seven of the ten best bands are from the UK. I’d heard a theory that because the UK has parliament, they have better bands. Because the US has a prez, they produce better solo performers (Elvis, Dylan etc.). 🤷‍♂️
