Absolutely gutted by this. She was at Stonewall and represented the best of that generation. The only solace I have is that she lived such a long life and got to see herself become a living legend when so many of our trans sisters don't. Rest in power.

Miss Major has passed away. We've lost an icon for the ages. Rest in power.

What I learned from Miss Major was persistence and also keeping a sense of humor. I was lucky to see her work in various organizing meetings over the years. She was a model of how to be a good elder. Truly grateful for everything she did to make the world better. Time for the rest of us to continue.

Miss Major has passed. A life well lived. We must celebrate her and the gifts she bequeathed us all. RIP Miss Major.

I watch “The Family Stone” around Christmas every year largely due to Diane Keaton’s role in it… One of my favorite scenes is when SJP reprinted a picture of a young pregnant Keaton thinking it was her fiancée in her belly. Keaton looks at Rachel Adams & says “That’s me & you, kid”.
