I lived thru the end of public smoking. Early in my career I presented to city councils who were smoking, in front of audiences who were smoking. Smoking in restaurants, airplanes, hospitals… All of that seems insane now, but it was very controversial when we DID change it. We CAN change things.

Homelessness is a policy choice

We've known this for years! We've done many studies/trials that have all shown the same thing. Housing people is much cheaper than dealing with all the problems homelessness perpetuates. And the people it helps OFTEN RECOVER to reenter society and no longer be dependent on it.

We've known for a long time that housing the homeless ultimately saves money. But people don't really care about saving money. They just want the "bad" people to be as far away from them as possible.
