After an hour of coughing tonight, my kid, not me, she was finally asleep and I allowed myself one cough as I’d been suppressing it. She raises her head, eyes closed, and says exasperated, “mummy I can’t sleep when you cough! You wake me up!” Promptly turned her head in a huff and back to snoring.

One of the hardest things about being a parent to a small child is when they’re behaving in a highly unusual way but they can’t explain why. Kidlet was having a hard time this afternoon and evening and then her coughing started. Luckily I was in peak empathetic mum mode today.

Almost done roof. I’ve done inside, made a table and bed and a fireplace. Doing the roof tiles has been a lesson in patience since I’m making, priming, then painting and arranging them myself

I preferred the tree there I think. Waiting for the spack to dry so I can do the shutters and the tiles which I hand made myself in their entirety. I even made the table, and linens in the house.

The question is… do I make a pot that can crack once and be put back together or make a 100 my kid can break

Even tho my mum was diagnosed APD, and I often talk about the negative effects of her behaviour—in my teens when she couldn’t control me. Mostly when I was a powerless kid she was ok. When I wanted to do something unusual or different or try something… she was def the person who initiated it

I’m under incredible pressure atm a hospital stay sounds like a pretty relaxing holiday tbh. Maybe if I get stressed out enough I’ll land myself there somehow
